Location
Romania is situated in South Eastern Europe, north of the Balkans, and has a population of over 22 million inhabitants. Romanian is the only official language and also the only language of Latin origin in the Eastern Europe.

| France, is crossed by the Carpathian mountain chain and is bordered to the south over a distance of 1075 km by the Danube, which flows, through a spectacular delta in the Black Sea which is bordering Romania at the south-east with an opening of 200 km. Neighboring Romania are: Ukraine to the north, Hungary and the west respectively serbia south-west, Bulgaria at the south and the Republic of Moldova to the east.

The climate of Romania is temperate-continental,
with annual average temperature which varies slightly depending on the region and relief is about 12 degrees Celsius in the Romanian Plain.

Romania has a millennial history and is now a bicameral parliamentary republic.
It's territory was inhabited since 2 millennium before Christ by the Indo-European tribes
of the Thracians.

Traian in the years of 101-102 respectively 105-106, Dacia will be conquered and transformed in a Roman province.
Officially starts the process of Romanization of the local
Geto-Dacians.
The modern Romanian State was created by the union of the principalities of
Moldavia and Wallachia in the year 1859, with the simultaneous choice as ruler in both states of
Alexandru Ioan Cuza.
Romania became independent after participating in the Russian-Turkish war in 1877 - 1878, in the same time as Serbia.
After the Second World War, Romania will become a communist country under
Soviet influence. In December 1989, at the end of a series of bloody events, the communist political structures collapsed.
After the end of the Cold War in 1989, Romania has improved relations with
Europe, joined NATO in 2004 and joined the
European Union in 2007.
